Or: Reasons To Be Cheerful, Part 3.During the planning for this year’s tour (before all plans were suspended indefinitely) we remembered that the EuroEpic 2019 trip seemed to feature a lot of wars. Basically wars have torn their way to and fro across Europe since… well, since people invented wars really… and so a lot of the things that we saw were war related. Castles, battlefields, graveyards and memorials.
I decided it was time for a different sort of theme and so have gone for “kindness and ingenuity”. No more battlefields for me, I am in search of things people have done to make the world a generally nicer place to live, in ways that don’t involve killing other people (at least, not intentionally).
I’m using the hashtag #kindnessandingenuity to identify these posts, and I very much hope there will be a lot of them. Heaven knows we all need cheering up right now.
