I am a Very Skientific sort of cove and I have invented an incliniommetter thing for my adventure tri cycle.
It tells me when I am going up hill how steep the hill is.
And when I am going down hill it tells me that too but wheeee the main thing then is not to look at the inclinything but to remember Never To Take Your Paws Off The Pedals or you are doooooooomed skree whee hello Mr Sheep. Hmm..
Anyway uphill it needs to tell you how fantastically great you are at going up hills, that is the main point, to take your mind off how very long it is taking you to get up that hill, and sometimes it seems to take me a very long time indeed.
So I took my Lucky Stone which has a hole through it and I hung it on a Piece Of String from the handlebars and when it hangs straight down it is flat and when it hangs back towards me it is up.
But I think that happens sometimes when it is windy too because when I tried it out on the route to the Eastney Convenience Store it was apparently uphill to the Store and downhill back which it isn’t, I know.
So. I have now taken Mr Beave’s Spirit Level (don’t tell him!) and stuck it with Mr Alex’s Splendid Black Tape to my crossbar. And now the bubble shows me what the slope is! How cool is that??!!
PS Doris says she wants another sort of inclinometer thing because sometimes she is not inclined to go cycling at all and sometimes she just wants to recline on the sofa but I don’t know how to build one of those yet.
