In which Sid and Doris find that you can never have too many Bonkers.
Having arrived fortuitously in Page, Arizona, after a failed attempt to go glamping, Sid and Doris found that there was a restaurant called Bonkers in town. So named because the restaurant owner had originally managed to sell it, and then ended up buying it back again. Which as he said proved that he was really Bonkers.
Although the title had previously belonged to Cathy, the waitress’s teddy bear – Mr Bonkers (on the right below). So called because when you hit your little sister on the head with his plastic nose it makes a satisfying Bonk Bonk noise. Mr B is 65 years old which makes him even older than Sid.
We returned in daylight for some memorial pictures, and were delighted to find the chef had just turned up to start the day.
