Wash Your Lyrics

Sighted in the cloakrooms at the Bellevue hotel in Boppard – a creative handwashing reminder.

This is a great candidate for today’s #kindnessandingenuity award.  As you know, it is kind to both yourself and to others to wash your hands frequently and thoroughly.  But really doing it properly can be a challenge – each time you do it, you skimp it a bit more until in the end you are back to the wave-them-under-the-tap method of pre-Covid times.  Or maybe that is only me.

Anyway, the UK government helpfully came up with the suggestion to sing Happy Birthday twice in order to do it for long enough, but that got a bit dull after the first few months/days/times.

In the cloakroom of the Bellevue hotel I found a poster generated from www.washyourlyrics.com.  You put in the song of your choice, and it creates a tasteful and detailed poster with (importantly) the skin tone of your choice, because #Blackhandsmatter too.

And, if you happen to be a vacationing barbershop singer who is feeling a bit guilty that she hasn’t learned the lyrics of the song she is recording for her Christmas virtual concert, this can help you learn the lyrics too.  Multitasking!💈🤓👍

So here, for you, is the Christmas Lullaby:
