The Wartburg museum isn’t only about cars

It also has some stories about humans.

This picture for example is of the wife of Gustav Ehrhardt, who in 1899 drove her car from Innsbruck to Munich over the Alps and is considered to be the first woman racing driver.

And the next picture shows a new (at least it was when it set off) Dixi R9 “deadlocked in mud” in Serbia in 1913 on its delivery trip to its new owner.

And finally, there was a great opportunity for a #virtualsouvenir in the museum gift shop where we didn’t buy this fabulous model of a Wartburg Camping car.
