Taking the rough with the smooth

I’ve noticed that Sid and Doris are making a lot of fuss about the road surface.
And they keep taking pictures of sets of cobbles that have annoyed them.

As you know I am a very experienced watcher of the Tour de France, and they used some of the Paris-Roubaix sections last year, which are called “pavé” by the way, that is the technical term, not cobbles.

And as far as I could tell the really professional riders, including my personal hero and role model “G”, do not seem to whinge and whine when they go over the pavé.  They just shut up and cycle smarter. I think that mmph mmph mmph…

Doris says: I am terribly sorry but someone seems to have put a cushion on top of that irritating little rodent.
