Arnhem town centre has decided to do some landscaping and has built some shallow channels through the middle of the town.
Unfortunately the local people have decided it is a perfect place to release goldfish that they have won in the local funfair, when it visits.
Fortunately this peckish stork is helping out by keeping the goldfish population under control.
What a glorious equilibrium.
By the way, talking about #virtualsouvenirs as I wasn’t, here is today’s haul. Sid didn’t buy a copy of Anthony Beevor’s book about Arnhem, and I didn’t buy a jigsaw puzzle of Operation Market Garden.
Neither of us considered for a second buying this self-consciously cutsie “Bertie Bear Flying Ace”. As we have mentioned elsewhere the sofa is quite full enough. Tough luck, stuffed toy.
